Configure SAP Data Services Computer

To configure the SAP Data Services Computer, perform the following steps:

  1. Copy the Content folder that is available in the product setup folder and extract the files to the computer on which SAP Data Services is installed, and then perform the following tasks:
    1. Go to Content/ETL folder, and then open the Sample_SCH_MASTER_LOOKUP.csv file.
    2. Using the sample format specified in this file, create a file with the name SCH_MASTER_LOOKUP.csv to map the lookup data for the following columns:
      • SOURCE_SYSTEM: Indicates the data source ERP system such as JDE, EBS, ECC or MSFTAX.
      • ENTITY: Indicates the name of the entity in your data source. For example, this value can be CUSTOMER, VENDOR, MATERIAL, GL_ACCOUNT, COSTCENTER, or PROJECT. For business partner entity, this value indicates whether the entity in your data source is customer or vendor.
      • LOOKUP_TYPE_CODE: Indicates the lookup code. For example, this value can be COUNTRY, PAYMENT_TERM, COMPANY_CODE, MATERIAL_TYPE, or PLANT.
      • SOURCE_VALUE1: Indicates the value for the LOOKUP_TYPE_CODE in the source ERP. You can have up to five source values.
      • TARGET_VALUE1: Indicates the corresponding value for the LOOKUP_TYPE_CODE in SAP S/4HANA. You can have up to five target values.
    3. Ensure that the name of the worksheet in the .csv file is LookupData, save the updates in SCH_MASTER_LOOKUP.csv file, and then close the file.
  2. Create an SAP S/4HANA application user and use the same user credentials to connect to SAP Data Services. To this user, assign the roles /MAGSH/SCH_BP_ROLE and /MAGSH/SCH/CFIN_MAP_ROLE.
  3. Configure the SMTP server when creating the SAP Data Services repository on the client computer. We recommend that you provide the sender's email address as DoNotReply@insightsoftware.com.
