SAP Data Services Job Fails

Symptom

Sometimes, the job that you run in SAP Data Services Designer for loading or reprocessing of data fails with an error.

Cause

One of the following issues may have caused the job failure:

  • Data constraint issue
    • Failed to load data into the FIN% tables for Transaction data replication or CF_E% tables for AVL data replication.
    • Failed to load data into the SLT tables.
  • Network Connectivity issue

Solution

Review the SAP Data Services error log through the Data Services Management Console interface to identify the stage at which the job failed and fix the issue.

  • If data was not loaded into the FIN% tables or CF_E% tables, perform the following:
    1. Clean up the data in the FIN% tables or CF_E% tables.
    2. Reprocess the data.
  • If data was not loaded into the tables in SLT Replication Server, perform the following:
    1. Clean up the data in the tables in SLT Replication Server.
    2. Clean up the data in the FIN% tables or CF_E% tables.
    3. Reprocess the data.
  • If the job failed due to a network connectivity issue, the error log may not be generated. In such cases, perform the following:
    1. Clean up the data in the tables in SLT Replication Server or FIN% tables or CF_E% tables, as applicable.
    2. Reprocess the data.
