This chapter provides information about security for SAP Central Finance Transaction Replication by insightsoftware for SAP S/4HANA and its components.
Auditing and Logging
Transaction uses the security that is applicable to SAP Data Services and SLT Replication Server. For information about the security related to SAP Data Services, see the SAP Data Services Administrator Guide. For information about the security related to SLT Replication Server, see the SAP Landscape Transformation Replication Server Security Guide.
The security that is applicable to SAP Fiori launchpad and SAP NetWeaver will also be applicable to Drilldown. For information about SAP NetWeaver security, see the SAP NetWeaver Security Guide.
You can find the error log related to Drilldown using the MAGSW namespace in the SAP Gateway error log.
Data Protection and Privacy
Transaction does not process and store any personal data or sensitive personal data. Transaction processes only financial data, such as invoices and payments.
Steps to Configure Connectivity Encryption
This section provides guidance on how to encrypt transaction data load at the source system and SLT. The following procedure is specific to Oracle E-Business Suite as the source system.
- Encrypting the ODBC Connection to the Oracle Database at the Transport Level (at Source): For the procedure to encrypt data load at the Source, refer to Document 2980134.1 (oracle.com). It requires user login. For more details about prerequisites and procedure for encryption, refer to Developers Blog.
- Encrypting Data Flow from the SAP SLT to target SAP S/4HANAdatabase: To encrypt the data load at the target level, refer to the SAP note at me.sap.com/notes/2825761/E.
Identity and Access Management
By default, no users are configured during the setup of Transaction. The identity management is taken care of by the customers according to their environment. Also, the customers can implement an authentication mechanism, such as single sign-on, according to their security requirements.
Drilldown authorizes the SAP GUI users to access the /MAGSW/CT_<SourceSystem>_SCD catalog and the SAP NetWeaver Gateway services through the /MAGSW/SCD/<SourceSystem>_ROLE role.
Network and Communication, Front-end Security
The network and communication security and front-end security for SAP Data Services, SLT Replication Server, and SAP Fiori launchpad are applicable to Transaction as well.
Application/Product Security
SAP Central Finance Transaction Replication by insightsoftware for SAP S/4HANA and its components do not store or use cookies.
