Upgrade Template

You can import a new version of the template using the import feature.

  1. On the instances (Source Systems or Staging Area) page, it is indicated when a newer version of the template is available. The templates are placed in the  \Transaction Replication 9.0Master Data Replication 9.0\SourceConnect 9.0 Management Console\Templates\Source system\. You can also import a customized template.
  2. Go to the Overview tab and select the higher version under Template Version dropdown as displayed in the following image. When a newer version of the template is imported, the instance table has an icon in the name field that notifies the user about the newer template version available.

    The Show Details option is enabled only if more than one version is available.

  3. Select Show Details to compare the object definitions. The View option appears for the objects that have differences between the selected template versions.
  4. Select View to open a comparison tool to view the line by line differences in the object definition. A message is displayed to upgrade the instance to a higher version.
  5. Go to the Deployment tab. The deleted, modified, and newly added objects are notified.
  6. Select Compare to view the newly modified changes.
  7. If you accept the newer template changes and want to confirm the upgrade, select Save. The Upgrade option is available in the Master Data Mapping and Data Pipeline tabs as well.
  8. By selecting Save, you confirm the upgrade, and the instance is now onto the template version selected for upgrade.
