Manage Mappings

The SourceConnect Management Console allows you to manage mappings from a single user interface.

Note: You must create a staging area before initiating the master lookup mapping otherwise an error message indicating the same is displayed.

  1. Access the Master Lookup Mapping option either from the home page or via Data Sources > Edit Data Source option.

  2. Navigate to Master Lookup Mapping from the Edit Data Source tab and then select the Validation Rules button to edit validation rules. Validation rules include:
    • Duplicate Rows Check: Identifies duplicate rows with identical Source, Lookup Code, Source Values, and Target Values (case-insensitive comparison).
    • Multiple Target Values Mapping Check: Identifies instances where the same Source, Lookup Code, and Source Values combination maps to more than one set of Target Values.
    • Unique Mapping Key Check: Ensures that each combination of Source, Lookup Code, and Source_Value1 through Source_Value5 is unique.
    • Mandatory Source Value1 Check: Source_Value1 must be present and cannot be blank.
    • Mandatory Target Value1 Check: Target_Value1 must be present and cannot be blank.
    • Source Value Character Set Check: Source Values can only contain letters, digits, underscores (_), hyphens (-), and spaces.
    • Target Value Character Set Check: Target Values can only contain letters, digits, underscores (_), hyphens (-), and spaces.
    • Source Value Max Length Check: Source Values must not exceed 50 characters.
    • Target Value Max Length Check: Target Values must not exceed 50 characters.

  3. Select the Preview Changes option to preview the changes before saving the modified records as depicted in the following screenshots.

  4. To load master data, select the preferred stage area from the dropdown. If there is no data in the MSC_MASTER_LOOKUP, 'No Records Found’ is displayed.
  5. To upload the master lookup data to the MSC_MASTER_LOOKUP table in staging database, use the Upload option, browse the .csv file that contains all the master lookup data with the columns pertaining to the MSC_MASTER_LOOKUP table and upload it.

If you select the Reset option, the selected source filter data will be completely erased and it will be required to enter new data.

Note: Do not change the SOURCE and LKP_CODE column values. The LKP_CODE value identifies the database objects such as journal types, document type, tax code, withholding tax code, logical system, and so on.

  6. Select a .csv file and upload it.
  7. On a successful upload, the data is displayed on the screen.
  8. Select DownloadMaster Data to download the master lookup file containing all the data as per source system.
